Memberships

An Active Member shall be an M.D. or D.O. who is practicing full-time and/or in an administrative capacity and who is living in, practicing in, or licensed to practice medicine in the State of Louisiana.

An Associate Member is an M.D. or D.O. practicing less than 1,000 hours per year or serving as a commissioned medical officer in Louisiana who chooses not to hold active status.

An Active Emeritus Member shall be an M.D. or D.O. retired from practice and no longer using his/her knowledge of medicine to earn an income and who wishes to be more involved in the organization to receive communications and be invited to attend organization events.

Emeritus Only shall be an M.D. or D.O. retired from practice and no longer using his/her knowledge of medicine to earn an income and who wishes to be informed of MASELA activities.

A Medical Student Member shall be a student of medicine located in Louisiana enrolled in an accredited medical school.
 

A Resident/Fellow Member shall be an M.D. or D.O. in a residency or fellowship position in Louisiana.
